Psychotherapy can be useful for those who feel overwhelmed or confused by their emotions.  At such times, we often get caught up with the "shoulds," such as:  "I should be able to handle my feelings on my own" or  "I should just tell myself to get over it" and so on.

It may seem counterintuitive but it is proven that talking about events or feelings (whether past, present or future) helps to alleviate much of the sadness, pain, anger and confusion that can be present in each of us and allows for growth and change.

Psychotherapy is useful in treating many different issues such as anxiety, panic, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship issues and other feelings of unease.

In my private practice, I only see individuals.  I am also, however, a Listening Mothers facilitator (click here for more information on Listening Mothers) and lead groups for new mothers that discuss the emotions and transitions that come with motherhood.  I welcome mothers or fathers seeking individual therapy to bring their infants to sessions if desired.

Please contact me to discuss setting up a consultation.
